I have seen the Lord (Today’s reflection)

Jesus calls each one of us by name. Because He knows us personally, He knows all about us, our life, our struggles, our sadness and problem and our day-by-day activities. Praise the Lord for His providence in everything we need in this life! Our God is the same God who provided the bread and meat for the children of Israel in the wilderness (Exodus 16:1-5, 9-15). Our God also provides us with our daily need.

St Mary Magdalene whom we celebrate her memorial today, recognize Jesus, her teacher when He called her by name. Mary realized Jesus had died yet He had never left her and other disciples alone. He did resurrect and raise from the death. He touched her heart so she could finally “see” Him and recognize as well as feel His presence. Mary, then opened her heart to receive Jesus. In return, He empowered her with strength and courage to spread the Good News and say,”I have seen the Lord.” (John 20: 18).

This is how Jesus is working with us. He is our source of providence. He surely provide. He knows us personally. Let us open our heart to Him and get to know Him intimately and personally. And tell it out loud to the world,”I have seen the Lord!”
